General backstory: Born in the Kinki (Kansai) region of Japan, Koichi grew up with a grandfather who was a sushi chef and parents who were artists. His favourite things in the world are F1 racing, cars, and sushi. He once considered being an F1 racer but after failing the driving test five times, realised that he was a poor driver and focused on sushi instead.  He followed in his grandfather's footsteps and became a sushi chef. He decided to branch out and now can prepare all kinds of fish dishes. He moved from his hometown and now works at the Firefry. To this day he still does not have a driver's license.

Personality Traits: Usually has a gentle nature and natural elegance. He can actually be goofy, teasing, and serious too. He is normally easy going and kind but does not take well to being disrupted during work. He can be a little klutzy when he isn't paying attention to what he's doing. He has a mild phobia to fish eyes due to an incident in his childhood which he does not talk about. While he doesn't run screaming from the room, he will refuse to work with any fish that still has its eyes and if he sees them he will hide around a corner until they are removed from the scene.
